The annual CERN relay race around the Meyrin site was this year accompanied with glorious sunshine in contrast to last year’s rain! The HiLumi Fast & Luminous team once again gave their all, also welcoming for the first time Davide Bozzini who recently joined the Project Office! On this hot hot day we completed the race in a valiant 15 minutes and 27 seconds, ranking 61 out 183 overall, and 17 out of 56 in the mixed category!

We also spied a number of runners sporting beautiful costumes representing various HL-LHC equipment and components! 

The race ended with a celebration of 70 years of the Staff Association, which began a year after CERN was founded. We enjoyed celebrating in HiLumi spirit whilst soaking up some rays!
