The python, the colloquial name for the flexible, double-wall, corrugated cryostat comprises 19 MgB2 superconducting cables in a single assembly, twisted together to form a compact bundle (Image: CERN)

A flexible cryostat and the first series of high-temperature superconducting magnesium diboride cables will form an innovative electrical transfer line to power the HL-LHC inner triplet magnets, CERN News.
